The Adair – Casey /Guthrie Center School Boards discussed facility assessments in their August meeting.
Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that an item on the agenda for both Boards was the facility assessment by Denovo. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the GC Board tabled a decision since they just had an assessment done within the last five years, but that the AC Board approved having it done.
“This is something that Guthrie Center has done in the past. AC is going to go ahead and have Denovo go ahead and give us a report on the conditions of our grounds, our buildings, our equipment, electrical, plumbing. They can do a really nice job just kind of laying out a plan for us so we can develop a five year plan or 10 year plan on what uh on what it will take to keep our facilities up to date.”
Rasmussen mentions that while the GC Board tabled an assessment, they did approved something else with Denovo, a stair replacement survey. He adds that the front stairs at the high school are in need of repair, so Denovo will be putting together a plan to do so.
