
Cole Jaeschke
Cole Jaeschke will be inducted into the Upper Iowa University (Fayette) Sports Hall of Fame on September 26. The Prairie Valley (Gowrie) High School graduate quarterbacked the Peacocks to 12 wins in his last two seasons just over a decade ago. He still holds 11 UIU passing records. Jaeschke is currently in business in Ft. Dodge.
Jaeschke spent time on the football coaching staff of the Greene County Rams as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in the late teens and early 2020’s. His last two years with the Rams were the first two seasons for current Greene County head coach Caden Duncan. Jaeschke has several relatives in Greene County.
Another UIU connection to the Rams is 2024 Greene County High School graduate Nathan Behne is a sophomore kicker for the Peacocks. UIU opened its season on Aug. 28 in Des Moines with a 41-7 loss to the Drake Bulldogs. Behne kicked the extra point after the lone UIU touchdown.
