The Stuart Revitalization Group’s annual Best of the Block BBQ Competition is later this month, but they’re looking for a little help for part of it.
Member and Organizer Russ Wagner says that there will be events that they’ve had in the past, along with some new ones. Some of them include a chili feed at 6pm on September 19th, with a breakfast served by the Stuart American Legion from 8-10am on September 20th. Wagner mentions that one festivity that is returning is the pie auction, which they do need some pies for. Those interested in providing a pie for the auction can contact Wagner on how to do so by calling him at 515-745-3720, or emailing the Stuart Revitalization Group at stuartrevitalization@gmail.com.
The chili feed, Legion breakfast, and BBQ Meat Feast are all free will donations, and all proceeds from those, along with the pie auction, silent auction and raffle will be split and donated to the Cottage Pantry and Stuart American Legion. A full list of events for the two day event can be found in this story online.
