This weekend there will be a musical performance at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield.

Singer Colleen Raye will be performing her show “The Music of Adele.” She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she’s only been performing the show for a few years, and shares what made her want to do covers of Adele’s songs.

“I’ve always admired Adele. I first saw her on television, her first appearance on Saturday Night Live, (and) I went, ‘Who is this person?’ And she just has such heart in her music. Plus the lyrics are totally relatable to all ages. And I really didn’t think I would be a person to be singing her stuff until actually my kids, my sister, people that I knew said, ‘You should be singing Adele.’”

Raye mentions that this isn’t her first time performing at the Warren Cultural Center, and that she loves coming down to see all the individuals who are so supportive of the arts and all the performances that the old opera house brings in. Tickets for the performance are available online and at the door, with admission being $25 for adults and free for students that are high school aged or younger.
