The Greene County Conservation Board is inviting the public to an event tomorrow about one of its parks.
According to the Conservation Board, there is an open house tomorrow at 5pm at the Milwaukee Depot for anyone to check out the master facilities plan for Squirrel Hollow Park. Conservation Director Tanner Scheuermann explains it took over one year to put together the document.
“And that plan is complete now. We did present it to the Conservation Board, everybody loves it. I think we’re going to have a lot of good feedback from the plan. A lot of, I think, positive feedback in general, just the fact that we have this plan, we took into account what the citizens brought to us, had a meeting here a couple of years ago and asked people to bring us ideas. Again, we’ve taken a lot of that information and put it into the plan, so I think a lot of people will be impressed with what we have put together.”
Scheuermann notes that the pedestrian bridge was replaced a couple of years ago and this year rural water will be implemented in the park as the two initial steps towards the goals of what is included in the master plan. The Conservation Board encourages people to stop by as the open house is a come and go event where comments and ideas for future projects can be shared.
