A special program is happening soon for high school students looking to receive school credits with the Dallas County Conservation Board.
The Conservation Board will be holding Teen Volunteer Nights on the Prairie at the Kuehn Conservation Area, 32849 Houston Avenue, in Earlham. According to Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker, the event will see participants clean the native surroundings in order to help preserve the environment.
Baker mentions the program is geared towards teenagers that either need a silver service chord, girl scout, or church volunteer hours, and is open to any other teens that want to contribute their time. She highlights that the event will be available for free and is taking place from 5-6:30pm on Tuesday.
