An Ankeny man was recently sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a minor in Adel back in 2021.

According to court documents, 20-year-old Landen Edward Bierly was convicted of two Class D Felonies of lascivious acts with a child under the age of five. He was sentenced to prison for a term not to exceed five years, as both charges will run concurrently. The charges stemmed from an incident on May 28th, 2021 when Bierly allegedly inappropriately touched the female victim. 

In addition to the sentencing, Bierly must also pay a fine of $1,025 and the statutory surcharge of $90 and was issued a no contact order with the victim until August of 2030.
