The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday night.

The Council will consider for approval a private sewer line on North Fremont Street from North 7th to North 8th Streets, a White Pole Road kiosk outside City Hall, community safety measures, and a new hire for the police department. They will also consider for approval the hire of John Welker as the new wastewater operator, then hold a public hearing on an amendment for the urban renewal area, and consider it for approval.

The Council will then hold a public hearing on a proposed development agreement with Duncan Construction, LLC, and consider for approval the agreement and a request to place HVAC on city property in the Pocket Park. Other items for consideration include the third change order for the 2023 Manhole Rehabilitation Project for the city to be reimbursed $1,460, and an engineering agreement for street and park improvements.

The Council will also consider for approval a bond purchase agreement for $8.57 million in general obligation annual appropriation corporate purpose bonds, a proposal for covenant and city code enforcement in city supported housing developments, and acceptance of a bid for the All Saints retention pond lot sidewalk. The final item on the agenda for approval is appointments and reappointments to the Utility Board, Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Adjustment and Adair County Tourism Council.
