The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with an ongoing investigation after a man died from an officer-involved shooting.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, on or about September 6th just before 11pm, the Sheriff’s Office was assisting the Boone Police Department and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit on 220th Street. The vehicle came to a stop on T Avenue, just north of 220th Street, where an officer-involved shooting took place and a male subject was pronounced dead at the scene. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is in charge of the ongoing investigation and no other details are known at this time.
