Summer is coming to a close, and school years have started, meaning 4-H members have a few things they need to do.

Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage mentions that the most important is registration, which just opened up. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that another important task for 4-H’ers is to complete their record books for the previous year.

“It is time to put all your projects into your record book to be judged and be honored at Awards Day. We do not have a date for that yet, but our Awards Day will be in November. Record books will be due to the office sometime in October.”

Savage mentions that the record books show what and how 4-H members have done for their projects. She adds that if anyone needs assistance, they can contact her or the Extension Office in Greenfield for help.
