The leader of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball Team thinks the 2025 squad has the capability of going the distance to bring home a championship.

The Tigers are off to an 11-2 start, beginning the season 9-0 before suffering their first loss to Nevada this past Thursday. In 2024, ADM concluded the year at 19-8 overall (8-0 inside the Raccoon River Conference), as they fell in the Class 4A Region 7 Championship match to Glenwood in four sets. The Tigers graduated five seniors from that team, and this year, they have eight seniors apart of the 12-girl roster. Head Coach Trevor Irwin has full confidence in the team.

“I think the ceiling is so high. We are playing such competitive volleyball, and I think overall our girls are finding their competitive edge. I think if teams play us, they can definitely expect lots of offense, scrappy defense, (and) aggressive serves. We continue to try to push the envelope of a coaching staff, but also our players. Also, continue to push the tempo, push the effort, and I think once we’re ready to get situated here, people are going to see a really good ADM Volleyball Team.”

Through 13 games, senior Anna Holloway has 50 kills to lead the Tigers, while senior Elise Coghlan has contributed 124 offensive assists. Defensively, sophomore Ella Subbert has 12 blocks and 9 assists. ADM will resume play tomorrow in Carroll for a single match at 7pm.
