Ten miles separate Dewey Field and Hawk Stadium.  Perry plays host to fellow Dallas County foe Woodward-Granger this Friday a game that will air on KDLS.

Non-district competition continues in week three for the Bluejays.  Perry is still seeking their first win after falling to Boone last Friday 48-7.  The Hawks are flying high and sitting at 2-0 after knocking off Greene County.  Woodward-Granger is ranked as one of the top teams in the 2A polls.

The Perry offense is led by Nadir Quahbi, who has rushed for 166 yards.  The QB position has been a revolving door early in the season for the Bluejays.  Jacobo Cerna-Gomez got the start versus Boone, but Ian Fisher finished the game.  Cerna-Gomez completed one pass for three yards while Fisher completed two passes for nine yards.

These two schools met in an exhibition to open the 2023 season, but haven’t played a sanctioned game despite the close proximity.

KDLS will have the Perry Hy-vee Pregame show Friday night at 6P with kickoff to follow at 7P.
