Following more pressure from the alleged victims of Jeffrey Epstein, some members of Congress are weighing on the topic.
Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Zach Nunn shares his thoughts on what he thinks should be done with all of the files of the previously convicted sex offender.
“We should’ve already released the Epstein files. We should’ve released them a long time ago, and I’m not talking just about this Administration (with President Donald Trump), we had four years under the (President Joe) Biden Administration where no one would release these files. Let’s just be clear what’s out there, the American people demand transparency, I’ve been very clear on this since the beginning.”
Nunn tells Raccoon Valley Radio he is also in favor of the discharge petition, which sources say would overturn congressional leadership and order the Department of Justice to release the files.
“I think that between both the House and the Senate, the (Trump) Administration will have to sign off on that. I want to give credit to the Administration, they released another 30,000 of these files. Some information is redacted because it has personal information of the victims. I don’t want to out the victims, but I do want complete transparency in everything else that’s currently in those files.”
Sources say, the bipartisan effort by Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democrat Representative Ro Khanna of California need 218 Representatives to sign the petition in order to force the vote to release all of the files of the Epstein case, who died in prison in 2019.
