It’s Perry (0-6) vs. Greene County tonight in high school volleyball. The contest will be the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opener for both teams with action in the high school gym in Jefferson. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 0-5 in matches after facing a very difficult early season schedule. The Rams met four teams that were rated by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union at the time they played, and of the five, two were against Class 5A teams, two were vs. 4A squads, and the only 3A team the Rams have met is second rated Kuemper Catholic (Carroll). Of the two sets the Rams have won, one came against Kuemper Catholic and the other was against 4A Dallas Center-Grimes.
Greene County is playing at home for the first time this season.
