The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center FFA Chapter will be holding an annual event on Saturday.

Chapter President Lucy Knutter says that they will be hosting the third annual AC/GC FFA Car/Truck Show, along with a new event for this year, a tractor show. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about preparing for the event.

“I think the most amount of work goes into getting our sponsors. em There’s a lot of trophies to get sponsors and it’s just, you know, going out and talking to businesses, different families, farms, things like that. It’s just a lot of communication and collaboration with the community, which I really enjoy because it makes the event feel more collaborative in a community sense, which is really great.”

Chapter Sentinel Irelyn Wirt mentions what she’s looking forward to with the event.

“This will be my first car show, but I think it’s definitely going to be a good opportunity to take what we learned last year and apply it and kind of improve our car show this year.”

Chapter Advisor Skie Shull explains that the members of the officer team are the ones that organize the event and set everything up, including getting trophy sponsors. She adds that the Car/Truck and Tractor Show will be Saturday, with registration for all vehicles beginning at 8:30am, with all registrations needing to be in by 11am, and everything is taking place at Mitchell Park in Guthrie Center.
