The Casey Public Library is hosting an author visit on Sunday.

Librarians share that Michelle Sprout Murray will be visiting to discuss her book “Amazing Iowa.” The book includes stories and tales that Murray heard across her years of traveling the state. There are 80 stories that span five different categories, which include famous Iowans, Iowa firsts, curiosities and oddities, sports stories and dark tales. There are also a multitude of interesting photographs included in the book as well. Some of the topics covered include the “Crookedest Street in the World,” world-record hiccups and Iowa’s music man. Murray will even share highlights of her research, and some stories that didn’t make the book. The event takes place at 2pm Sunday, and is sponsored by the Library Betterment Association.
