The Greene County School Board met in regular session on Wednesday.

The Board then approved three student driving permits for Tucker Ford, Joseph Higgins and Lucas Daniel, as well as three fundraiser requests for National Honor Society, the high school vocal department and Greene County FFA. They also approved Kaitlyn Halterman’s request for early graduation, the 2023-24 Board Treasurer’s report, and Board member Tim Riphagen as the Iowa Association of School Boards Delegate.
Additionally, the Board approved two out of state travel requests for FFA to the national convention in Indianapolis, Indiana and for high school choir to attend the Festival of Music at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri. They reviewed the financial report for the 2023-24 school year, selected three priorities for the 2026 Iowa Legislative Session for IASB to advocate for. Those included literacy, all schools must be welcoming to all students and be fully accountable to receive taxpayer funds, and State Supplemental Aid.
