The Rolling Valley Activities Conference volleyball season starts tonight for the Paton-Churdan Rockets. Coach Nikki Uebel’s team makes the short trip to Glidden to face the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats.

G-R is 2-4 on the season while the Rockets are 1-3 after winning the first match of the season, then dropping three straight. P-C lost veteran Kaliyah Minnihan due to a softball injury over the weekend. The injury took place on Sunday and the Rockets played on Monday, so there was little in the way of time to make adjustments. The coach has had two days of practice to prepare for playing without Kaliyah, and what that might look like.
