The Perry Chamber Farmer’s Market is quickly coming to a close, as the next one will be the final special themed night.
According to Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, the theme is Health and Wellness Night, which will include Dallas County Hospital, Dallas County Health Department, and Perry Lutheran Homes.
Additionally, Pasutti acknowledges that most people forget about the farmer’s market once students return to school, but she highlights that September is the best time to find great produce.
“We really have the best of both worlds when it comes to late summer produce and early fall produce, so you still have the summer things like tomatoes and peppers, but then we’re starting to see the winter squash and it’s just a nice mix. So you really can get just about anything when it comes to seasonal produce, but then also the fresh baked goods of all kinds, eggs, honey, crafts, so many things.”
The Health and Wellness Night will take place this coming Thursday along 2nd Street in downtown Perry from 4-7pm.
