The Brenton Arboretum in Dallas Center is gearing up for an inaugural family-friendly event today.

Executive Director Melissa Burdick shares that the organization is inviting people out to the first-ever Concert on the Prairie at the arboretum, 25141 260th Street. She details that guests will be able to take in an open-air concert by 2023’s Iowa Music Awards Acoustic Artist of the Year winner Luke Stutzman. Burdick explains that people are welcome to bring their own picnic foods, in addition to a blanket or foldable chairs to sit on to listen to the concert. Burdick expresses that she is hoping to have a nice night.

“The thing I’m looking forward to is just a really lovely evening out in the open air listening to nice acoustic music, and just really having a relaxed time.”

Burdick mentions that tickets cost $20 for Arboretum members and $25 for non-members, and can be purchased at the door. The Concert on the Prairie event is taking place from 6-8pm this evening, with the gates opening at 5pm.
