The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved renewing the current Urban Revitalization Area. After a review of information from the compliance officer, they then found the owners of the property at 301 Main Street were in violation of the nuisance ordinance, and would have 14 days from the meeting date to abate the violations and remove nuisances. Streets Superintendent Darin Sloss gave a department update, mentioning that they had been grading alleys and doing some tree trimming, along with preparing the pool for full winterization. He added that the fence back-stop at the Little League Field is in need of repair, and the Council approved a quote of $3,040 from Fagan Fencing for the repairs.

City Clerk Kris Arrasmith also gave an update, noting that her staff is doing ZOOM training for their new software program, and that there is the possibility of a bid coming in for the city owned lots on Grand Street. She added that she would let the Council know if that bid came in before the next meeting later this month.
