The Waukee Swimming and Diving Team, who Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School partners with, participated in the Linn-Mar Invitational on Saturday, where Tiger senior Eliza Schmidt dove her way into the top-7 places.

The Warriors garnered fourth place out of the 14 schools that competed, and Schmidt notched 5th place with a final score of 357.20, behind Dowling Catholic’s Mylee Dirks. The other swimmers that attend ADM include senior Emma Popp and junior Finlee Burns. Popp got 13th in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:21.48. She was also 7th in the 100 Yard Backstroke at 1:01.52, and was apart of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay that placed 9th. For Burns, it was a 7th-place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle at 25.63, 8th in the 100 Yard Fly, and was on the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay that was able to nab 8th.

Schmidt, Popp, and Burns will be back in the pool with Waukee tomorrow as they travel to Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, starting at 5:30pm.
