Guthrie County Hospital has two Town Hall meetings this week on the proposed renovation and expansion project.
Hospital Chief Executive Officer Chris Stipe says that the project comes from years of planning, and is vitally needed to help keep the main campus modern, and able to provide the best care they can. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the expected size of the protect.
“The project is at our main hospital campus and it’s a renovation and expansion of our campus here. It’s about 17,000 square feet of new space and about 34,000 square feet of renovated space is what’s going to be impacted. So about 75 or 80 percent of the hospital building will be impacted during the construction.”
Stipe mentions that two of their Town Hall meetings to bring more information to residents of Guthrie County are being held back to back starting tomorrow. He adds that tomorrow’s meeting will be at Summit Grove in Stuart, and Wednesday’s meeting will be at the GCH Clinics building in Panora, with both to begin at 6:30pm.
