The Perry Volunteer Fire Department is warning residents that they will be doing a precautionary activity today.
City of Perry’s Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea explains that the fire department will be conducting a controlled burn at a property at 1417 1st Street beginning at 5pm. He states that the fire department will be doing the controlled burn of a large pile of housing and the purpose is to give an opportunity for firefighters to train in preparation for emergency situations.
