It’s Paton-Churdan volleyball at Woodbine tonight in Rolling Valley Activities Conference play. Coach Nikki Uebel’s Rockets are 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference action after winning the first match of the season and not winning since. The host Tigers are 2-6 on the season.

The P-C coach told Raccoon Valley Radio her team is starting to adjust to the sudden loss of junior Kaliyah Minnihan to an injury while playing softball on Sept. 7 and a subsequent hospital stay. Minnihan will miss the rest of the volleyball season, according to Coach Uebel. She told Raccoon Valley Radio, “It’s a really big loss. She bring a lot to the team, both in her power and her consistency, but also for the team morale and being a leader. Her presence is definitely missed.”

The coach has made some position switches and other adjustments in recent days due to the injury, and said she’s looking forward to seeing those changes tonight.
