There is another ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at the end of this week on the downtown square in Jefferson.

Tim Heisterkamp, owner of Journey Financial, is co-hosting a Java and Juice program with Jefferson Matters at 9:30am on Friday at his new location, at 121 East Lincoln Way, on the southeast corner of the square. Heisterkamp tells Raccoon Valley Radio why he wanted to move away from the space that he has rented in Home State Bank since 1998.

“So, I’ve been in the financial planning business for 26.5 years now. We have steadily grown to now that there are four of us that run Journey Financial. The space that we have here at Home State Bank, we’ve just completely outgrown. It’s been a very, very nice office suite for us, but with four of us and with potentially needing another employee or two down the road, we were just preparing ourselves for growth in the future.”

Following Java and Juice, there will also be a ribbon-cutting around 10am. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich invites the public to check out the new space and attend next Friday’s Java and Juice, where there will be another ribbon-cutting at the next door location to Journey Financial with the new spot for Dr. Philip Heisterkamp and Greater Life Chiropractic. Both programs are free and open to the public.
