A reminder that tomorrow will be the Homecoming parade and coronation ceremony for Greene County High School.

Student Council Vice President Nala Losee says the parade lineup will be in the gravel parking lot next to Linduska Field prior to it starting at 2pm. The parade route will be north on Chestnut Street to the downtown square in Jefferson. She states that the community pep rally will follow, with the coronation ceremony taking place around 3pm.

Student Council President Kaycee Pittman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this year’s Homecoming theme is the “Totally Rad Homecoming” with a nod to the 90s. She says after the theme was determined, the rest of the planning for the week-long event went pretty smoothly.

“I would say we usually divide up tasks among all of us, we have a pretty big group in student council. So it makes it easier to all take on a little task, less overwhelming and it all just came together. I think that it was fun for us to pull some inspiration from some 90s movies or 90s artists that was a fun part of that.”

Anyone from the community that wishes to be a part of the parade can contact Student Council Advisor Kelley Gray at the high school or by email at grayk@greenecountycsd.net
