
The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday night.
The Board approved the special education deficit – allowable growth for $530,354.66, the keeping The Stuart Herald as the official publication of the school, Symantha Crawford as the Board Secretary and Treasurer, the current financial institutions and continuing having Ahlers and Cooney Representative Miriam Van Huekelem as the district legal counsel. They also approved an overnight trip for the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a resolution to continue participation in the Instructional Support Program.
The Board then approved the transfer of funds to the flexibility account within the general fund, and set a public hearing for approving the expenditure of funds in the flexibility account for the next School Board meeting. They chose not to act on the career and technical education building project, along with the third amendments to both the professional service and professional development agreements with SitelogIQ. The Board also approved the first reading of several amended board policies, then waived the second reading and adopted the policies.
