The Grand Junction Library is hosting an event tomorrow with a special, local guest.

Library Director Alan Robinson says Multicultural Family Resource Center Director Sara Huddleston will be at the Coffee Chat at 10:30am. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Huddleston will go over the mission of the organization and how it was established with the help of Greene County Development Corporation.

Since GCDC had partnered with the Ames Regional Economic Alliance (AREA), MFRC is now a stand-alone group with a separate board of directors. She explains that one of her main portions of her job has been working with the Greene County School District.

“That includes those parent/teacher’s conference, helping the students, being an interpreter for the schools, and that includes all of the elementary, the middle school, (and) the high school. Participating in the programs, being out there and showing basically support for the community, and the students, and the schools.”

Tomorrow’s program is free and open to the public.
