When healthy, Greene County volleyball uses two setters at times. Natalee Baugh and Taylor Johnston are those setters with Baugh the taller and Johnston the smaller of the two. Johnston has been on the injured list lately, so Baugh has handled the majority of the setting duties for the 6-7 Rams. Coach Kris Heisterkamp’s team started the season 0-5, but has victories in six of its last eight matches.
Baugh is among the team leaders in ace serves and she talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about serving. “Serving is something we work on a lot in practice. You might think an opposing student section yelling at you might make you nervous, but it makes me want to get an ace serve even more.”
The Rams are off until hosting Class 4A number 11 Nevada in Jefferson on Sept. 25.
