There will be a lot of energy in the air as the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football Team celebrates Homecoming with a non-district matchup versus Bondurant-Farrar in Adel tonight.

The Tigers are trying to rebound from their only loss on the season so far through three games, as they fell 38-37 to North Polk in overtime this past week, but have gotten two wins against Winterset and Ballard, sitting at 2-1. The Bluejays are 0-3 on the year, falling to Waverly-Shell Rock, Grinnell, and Newton.

ADM senior Quarterback Hudson Shull is at 500 yards passing with 5 touchdowns, while adding another 341 yards on the ground with 5 TDs. Bondurant-Farrar sophomore QB Riley VanderLinden has thrown for 181 yards and a touchdown. Tiger Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch highlights that despite the Homecoming activities this week, he knows the guys will be ready to play tonight.

“Homecoming can be stressful from a standpoint that we’ve got longer days, we’ve got things that we are obligated to be at too, and so are the guys. But I think for the most part, these guys understand that at the end of the day, we prepare the same every week. So we can’t stop what we’re doing or shorten up what we’re doing. We need to obviously get better at some things, and I think they know that and have done a good job of staying focused.”

Winkowitsch points out that despite the Bluejays winless record, they still pose a dangerous threat with a variety of weapons. The two teams last faced off in 2020, where Bondurant-Farrar won the game 14-7. Tonight’s contest will kick off from Tiger Stadium in Adel at 7pm, as Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting with pregame coverage at 6pm.
