The Menlo Fire and Rescue Department is holding a new fundraiser today.

Fire Chief Dave Guisinger states that they are hosting the Cookout Fundraiser, which he is hoping to make it an annual event. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that funds raised from the cookout will go towards purchasing new fire gear for recently joined members, as well as other essential equipment..

Attendees can choose between two meal options including a hotdog meal for $7 or a hamburger meal for $10. Delivery is available within Menlo; interested individuals can contact Chief Guisinger by phone to arrange it. The meal is from 11am to 1pm, and a silent auction will also be held, with the drawing at 1:30 p.m. Winners do not need to be present.
