Residents in Guthrie Center and the surrounding area should be ready to make a weekly trip for the Guthrie Center Harvest Dinners starting tomorrow.
Main Street Guthrie Center Director Becky Peterson says that this is a yearly event that is jointly held with the Guthrie Center Chamber, where several meals will take place starting tomorrow and going through November 20th. Tomorrow’s Harvest Dinner will be from 11am to 1pm at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and then the following week will be at the Bowman Chapel Church from 11am to 1pm.
Peterson explains that on October 5th there will be a harvest dinner at the First Christian Church, with a meal of chicken or beef and noodles with mashed potatoes from 11am to 1pm, and that on October 15th a meal will take place at the First United Methodist Church 5-7pm. She adds that the final harvest dinners will be on October 22nd from 5-7pm with Main Street Guthrie Center, and include ham balls and mashed potatoes, with the final one to be hosted by the Guthrie County Hospital Auxiliary with a potato bar on November 20th from 10:30am to 1pm.
