The Perry Parks and Recreation Department will soon be starting Co-Rec and Women’s Volleyball Leagues, as registration comes to a close tomorrow.

Recreation Coordinator Marco Perla tells Raccoon Valley Radio that for both leagues, teams are required to have six players, but can play with a minimum of four. He points out that for the Co-Rec teams, they should have no more than three men, and teams should be gender balanced. Perla indicates that qualified players must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school.

Perla says that teams will be playing for medals and that postseason tournaments will follow at the conclusion of regular play. He describes that the cost to register per team is $100, as women’s games will be played on Wednesdays from 6-9pm, starting this week and Co-Rec games will take place on Sundays from 3-6pm, beginning next Sunday, September 28th. He explains that the registration is capped at eight teams, and currently four are signed up for women and two so far for Co-Rec. Perla concludes that the deadline for registration is tomorrow at midnight. To find that link, click here.
