On Thursday in Stuart, one of the department heads for the city resigned.

According to minutes from a special meeting held Thursday night, the Stuart City Council met in a closed session with Stuart Rescue Director Sean Bovinett. After the closed session ended and the meeting returned to open session, Bovinett tendered his resignation, and the Council accepted it. No information on who will take over as Rescue Director has been released at this time, and no reason for the resignation has been released by official sources.
