The Perry Elks Lodge has recently done some improvements to their space to enhance guests’ experience.

According to Perry Elks Public Relations Chairperson Lisa Widick, the building is a popular spot to hold a variety of events, and the Elks Lodge will donate the use of the building to charitable organizations such as high school and softball leagues, to fundraise for their programs. She notes that in 2024, the Elks Lodge updated the events side and kitchen area, but this year the emphasis was on the members side, specifically with new carpet, new paint color and lights, as well as putting in a new TV. Widick believes that guests are going to enjoy the changes.

“It’s more modern, it’s more comfortable. As we try to attract younger members to the Elks Lodge, we need to make it attractive to younger members. I’m a short-time member compared to some of our people. I’m sure over the years, each generation of Elks have seen changes and everybody initially loves it, but I think overall it’s a great improvement and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.”
