Ava Hinote, the Greene County High School freshman who swims for Carroll High through an athletic sharing agreement, placed in four events on Saturday at Fort Dodge Senior High. The Tigers were fourth among five teams at the Gary Winkler Invite with 204 points. Sioux City Metro won the event at 371, followed by Spencer with 313, Algona 206, then the Tigers, followed by the host Dodgers with 128.

Hinote swam on a pair of third place relays. She was the first leg on the 400 yard freestyle relay and swam third on the 200 yard freestyle relay. In addition, she placed as an individual in two events, getting sixth in the 100 yard butterfly and seventh in the 200 yard individual medley.
