Hometown Heritage in Perry will have a public gathering to reveal the new ceramic relief for the 2025 recipient on the Wall of Witnesses.

According to Hometown Heritage President Bill Clark, Glenn Theulen is the newest honoree to join the 27 individuals that have a ceramic relief plaque in Soumas Court. He highlights that recipients need to meet three criterias including having a tie to Perry, left an impact on the area, and has an interesting story. Clark outlines that Theulen was a lifelong advocate for the City of Perry as well as the staff of the school district.

Clark adds that Theulen served as the town’s mayor for two terms and was responsible for designing the City’s Veterans Memorial Park and was instrumental in acquiring the Milwaukee Railroad caboose, plus he was honored nationally by the Community Leaders of America in 1972 for his contributions of civic leadership. Clark invites everyone to a free public unveiling of Theulen’s ceramic relief on Thursday, October 2nd, at 5pm inside the Hotel Pattee Ballroom, with light refreshments to be served.
