There were no injuries from the two separate crash incidents that happened Tuesday morning around Greene County High School in Jefferson.

According to Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse, at 7:46am a 2007 Monte Carlo that was driven by a 15-year-old was traveling west on US Highway 30 and was turning south onto North Grimmell Road and struck an eastbound 2014 Tesla that was driven by 45-year-old Jesse Perrett of Scranton. The crash report shows that both vehicles were total losses but neither driver was injured. The 15-year-old was cited for violation of financial liability and failure to yield upon left turn.

Clouse says the other incident took place at 7:54am at the T-intersection with the driveway at the high school and North Grimmell Road. The crash report states that a 2020 GMC Terrain that was driven by 56-year-old Linda Olerich of Jefferson was stopped at the posted stop sign in the high school drive and was starting to leave the drive, when she noticed an oncoming vehicle and stopped suddenly, which then led to the following school bus to rear-end the GMC vehicle. Neither Olerich, nor the bus driver, 65-year-old Alexander Hamilton of Jefferson, were injured, and there were no injuries to the students that were on the bus. The crash report notes that there was no damage to the bus and about $3,200 to the GMC Terrain. No citations were issued because the crash happened on private property.
