Jefferson Parks and Recreation has a program for some school-aged youngsters to enjoy and the deadline to register is today.
JPRD Assistant Director Henry Pohlmeyer says they are hosting laser tag for second through sixth graders on the no school day for the Greene County School District this coming Monday. The event itself is happening at the Greene County Community Center from 1:30-2:30pm with a limit of 14 kids, which Pohlmeyer notes is dedicated to the number of laser guns they have. He illustrates that this program is always entertaining to see what kinds of kids participate.
“We do set up some like courses or obstacles for them. We do like team activities, so it’s just fun to see the strategies or lack thereof that they devise. So, it’s pretty fun to watch.”
Pohlmeyer notes that the registration fee is $10 for community center members and $15 for non-members.
