A huge event will be occurring in central Iowa today and tomorrow, as there are two businesses in Perry that are participating that allows attendees to see how certain items are crafted.
According to Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, the 11th Annual Art Harvest Tour is approximately an 80-mile loop that stretches through five communities in four counties. She describes that the event is a studio tour, which features 10 local businesses and 24 artists who will have their work on display. The two stops in Perry include Betsy Peterson Designs and Mary Rose Collective, and Pasutti highlights that rural Dallas County is full of artistic prowess.
“Well I’m always biased, but I’m really excited about just the local art that we have featured here. Betsy Peterson and Eric Peterson always have a beautiful gallery space with their work. At Mary Rose Collective, myself will be featured as well as my mom. I’m excited for her to be apart of it for the first time. It’s a really fantastic tour to realize that there’s some quality artist located right in this area. And it is a little bit of a trek, but it’s a nice country drive to each stop, and every one is unique, so definitely worth checking out all of them.”
Pasutti says the tour is happening today and tomorrow from 10am-5pm, with the other communities involved being Ogden, Boone, Woodward, and Ames.
