
Perry celebrated homecoming Friday as Greene County won 49-0 at Dewey Field. The Rams keep the cowbell for an eighth straight year.
As heard on KDLS, district competition opened in 3A aa the Bluejays and Rams renewed their rivalry. The Perry defense had no answes for the Greene County attack, who accounted for 358 yards. Owen Zander led the club with four and a half tackles.
Offensively, the Bluejays moved the ball the best on the ground. Jacobo Cerna-Gomez had a team high 88 rushing yards while Nadir Quahbi added 73 yards. Perry had 181 yards on the evening.
The Bluejays drop to 0-5 (0-1).
Perry hits the road next Friday for a date with Atlantic.
