
Next week is Homecoming for the West Central Valley Wildcats.
Homecoming Sponsor Jennifer Knight says that the kindergarten through 5th grade and 6th through 12th grade students have a couple differences for their themed days. Both groups will have jersey day on Monday, a color themed day on Wednesday, and Spirit Day on Friday. The K-5th grade group will have pajama day on Tuesday and flannel day on Thursday, while the 6th-12th grade group has decade day Tuesday and Battle of the Bands Thursday. Knight mentions that the schedule of events includes a pep walk through the Stuart and Dexter Elementary buildings, the middle school, and the Community Care Center in Stuart, where senior athletes, the cheer squad and mascot Wiley Wildcat having lunch with the residents. On Friday, the Homecoming parade starts at 2pm, followed by the pep rally at 2:45pm, where the Homecoming King and Queen being crowned. The big game takes place Friday night as the Wildcats host the Interstate-35 Roadrunners, and everything wraps up next Saturday with the Homecoming dance from 8-10pm in the high school commons area.
