It’s Homecoming week for the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Community School District.
According to AC/GC High School Administrative Assistant Christina Wilson, festivities began yesterday when the halls were decorated at the school. Today is Pajama Day, with tomorrow being Anything but a Backpack Day. Wednesday is Class Color Day, with Thursday being Decades Day, and Friday is Charger Spirit Day.
The AC Elementary and AC/GC Junior High building will be celebrating Pajama Day, Class Color Day and Charger Spirit Day the same days as the high school, but will have Sunglasses/Hat Day tomorrow, and Blast from the Past Day on Thursday. Tomorrow there is a Black and Gold Scrimmage, where the volleyball team will play against themselves, with admission to the game being donations to the food pantry. On Wednesday the iron man games will be at 5:30pm, with the Powder Puff Games on Thursday at 5:30pm. On Friday, the Homecoming parade starts at 2:15pm, followed by a pep rally at the football field. The AC/GC Booster Club will be hosting tailgate festivities following the pep rally up to the start of the game. The Homecoming football game will be against Central Decatur, and Homecoming Royalty will be crowned during halftime of the game. The Homecoming dance will be Saturday night from 8-10pm at the high school, with doors to open at 7:45pm.

Wednesday: Class Color Day (Seniors – Neon Orange / Juniors – Cobalt Blue / Sophomores – Pink / Freshmen – Mustard Yellow / Staff – Purple)
Thursday: Decades Day (Seniors – 60’s / Juniors – 70’s / Sophomores – 80’s / Freshmen – 90’s / Staff – The year you graduated high school)
Friday: Charger Spirit Day (Chargers attire)
