Upper Iowa University sophomore kicker/punter Nathan Behne is off to a great start, as is his NCAA Division II football team. UIU won its Homecoming game on Saturday in Fayette vs. Lincoln University of Missouri by a 31-3 final. In that game the 2024 Greene County High School graduate kicked a 30 yard field goal and went four for four on extra points.

After a season opening loss in Des Moines to the NCAA D1 Non-Scholarship Drake Bulldogs, the Peacocks have rattled off three wins in a row. Behne is averaging 60.8 yards on kickoffs with six touchbacks, is two for two on field goal attempts with a long of 47 yards, and he’s punted 12 times for a 41.2 yard average.
