An entity is hosting a couple of candidate forums for some contested races in Greene County.

The Jefferson Citizens for Common Sense Government is having a forum for the Greene County School Board candidates this Thursday at 7pm at The Courtyard Wedding and Event Center in Jefferson. Assistant Greene County Attorney Laura Snider will be moderating with all seven candidates invited to participate. Those individuals include Katie Nelson, Scott Graham, Nicole Chisum, Megan Holz, Spencer Kirk and Jeremiah Goughnour, with one incumbent, Cindi Daubendiek, who is the current School Board President, who are running for three seats.

JCFCSG is also hosting another forum for the Jefferson City Council candidates the following Thursday, October 9th, also at 7pm at The Courtyard. Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn will be moderating the forum that includes six candidates that are running for three seats. Those individuals include Sue Bose, Eric Carlson, Paul Hostetler, Luke Winkelman, as well as two incumbents: Harry Ahrenholz and Darren Jackson.

Both events will have the doors opening at 6:30pm and are free to attend.
