There are a few events that the Stuart Public Library has in store for patrons in October.

Librarian Rachel Majerus says that they have their many regular monthly events like coffee and cribbage, toddler time, gentle yoga and the book club meeting, along with some special events as well. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that on October 13th, the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be at the Library at 3pm with one of their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs.

“Participants will learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin. They’re going to get to create pumpkin slime, play pumpkin bowling, and have an opportunity to enjoy some pumpkin pudding if they’re interested.”

Majerus mentions that there are also two events that the Stuart People Active for Library Service will be bringing in with special speakers. She adds that the library also will be hosting an information meeting for the girl scouts.
