There are a few spots available for a workshop with Greene County ISU Extension for anyone that wants to learn a new skill.

Greene County Extension Director Jeff Lamoureux says the “Learn to Quilt: Nordic Star Table Runner” will be held this coming Monday and Tuesday at 1pm at the Extension Office in Jefferson and the instructor is their Office Coordinator Cyndi Adamson.

“If you’re interested in quilting and it’s something that you’ve thought about again, a beginners type of course here. It’s being taught by our very own Cyndi Adamson, and if you’ve seen any of her work and her quilts, you’ll know that she’s the right person for this. She does a great job and has done numerous quilts throughout the years and she’s does just a fabulous job. So we’re fortunate that have her as part of the Extension and is willing to put on this workshop.”

Skills that participants will learn include essential piecing techniques while working on a classic Nordic Star pattern. The fabric will also be purchased by the attendees. The registration fee is $50 per person for the materials and the registration deadline is October 3rd. Contact the Extension Office at 515-386-2138 or stop by to sign up.
