The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for another adult program.

JPRD Assistant Director Henry Pohlmeyer says the Co-Ed 6 vs 6 Volleyball League will be held on Sundays, starting October 12th, with games to tentatively begin at 3pm at the Greene County Community Center. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio there is a limit of ten players per team and a minimum of four teams must register to have the league.

Pohlmeyer notes that on Sundays there will typically be two games per team and he describes how the end of the league will play out.

“And then there is a double elimination tournament at the end of it. So that’s kind of a simple bracket layout where it’s seeded based off of your past record. And then you go through it and the winner continues until they lose and then go onto the backside, if they lose again on the backside, then you’re done unfortunately.”

Team registrations are $75 and the deadline to sign up is by this coming Monday, October 6th. Contact the community center at 515-386-3412 or click here to sign up.
