
Greene County has volleyball and cross-country on the schedule today and Paton-Churdan plays volleyball.
The Rams run in the Leon Fox Coed Cross-Country Invitational today at the Perry Golf & Country Club north of town. There are middle school and high school races, as well as competition for girls and boys. About a dozen schools are scheduled to compete this afternoon into early evening. Jeff Lamoureux is the Rams’ head coach for both girls and boys.
Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Greene County volleyball team goes to Des Moines and plays at Saydel High School in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference action. The Rams are 7-8 overall and 2-1 in the conference while the Eagles are 3-11 on the season and 0-6 in the Heart of Iowa.
The Rockets under the direction of head coach Nikki Uebel host Rolling Valley Activities Conference leader Coon Rapids-Bayard in Churdan. P-C is 0-5 in the league and 2-9 overall while the Crusaders sport a 16-2 season record and they are unbeaten in four conference matches.
